Quaich Bar is one of the pioneers of Singapore’s whisky scene. The owners, Joyce and Khoon Hui, went into business in 2005 with just a cart in Tanglin Mall. 11 years on, they have a bar in downtown Singapore, offering over 500 labels and expressions.
We like the relaxed, laid back vibe. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and judging from our frequent visits there, their recommendations are always on point. Labels that they carry include Springbank, Glenglassaugh (the 1975 White Rabbit 35 years is particularly intriguing) and Kilkerran. Quaich Bar also has an impressive selection from Cadenhead, Scotland’s oldest independent bottle.
Apart from whiskies, Quaich Bar also offers cigars, cognacs, Armagnacs and rums. And if you like what you’re drinking, you can pick up a bottle or two from the retail corner.
