An Iconic Achievement

It’s always great to have one of the best in the world on our shores. 

Matthew Fergusson-Stewart, Glenfiddich Regional Brand Ambassador in Asia Pacific was named Scotch Whisky Brand Ambassador of the Year 2017, an award bestowed by Icons of Whisky.

So how important is this award?

If you love whiskies, you would have probably heard of the very influential Whisky Magazine. The Icons of Whisky are the annual industry awards organised by the magazine and it recognise the very best people and places in the whisky business around the world.

The larger industry nominates their icons online before the Whisky Magazine editorial panel whittled each category down to a shortlist of five. Following voting and a final review by the panel, the winners were chosen.

“I am extremely humbled by this award and also very excited to share this with everyone. It came as a surprise to receive such a prestigious award when I know there are so many brilliant brand ambassadors out there doing such incredible work. The industry has inspired me and I will continue to work harder and better every day,” says Matthew Fergusson-Stewart, Glenfiddich Regional Brand Ambassador in Asia Pacific. “I will continue to take the Glenfiddich brand to the next level and ensure it becomes a progressive spirit in challenging malt whisky conventions, while also staying true to its legacy.”
