A big toast to Toast The Macallan! Buoyed the success of its inaugural event last year, the folks from The Macallan have put together the second edition this year at restaurant bar, Black Swan. Evident from the from its sell-out tasting sessions as well as lunch and dinner pairings, Toast The Macallan has been a highly-anticipated event, and rightly so.
The 2016 event was held from 30 March to 3 April. The tasting sessions were what the majority of participants signed up for, and they were hosted by Brand Trainer Keith Nair and Brand Ambassador Randall Tan, who gave participants a quick overview of how The Macallan whiskies are created. Their good chemistry was palpable and the banter set everyone at ease.
Highlighting the event was Edition No. 1, a limited bottling that was created from a vatting of whiskies from eight different casks.
All in all, the team from The Macallan has done a terrific job with the event. There was whisky education, guests had access to exclusive bottlings and most importantly, whiskies were flowing freely. Very classy indeed. Most definitely, we will be looking forward to the third edition of Toast The Macallan in 2017.
